The Campground Beach

La Pineta campground in Sardinia, Italy is located in an enviable position, only 400 metres from Planargia’s long beach. The latter extends for several kilometres south of the gulf of Bari Sardo and is about one hundred metres wide. It is bordered by a row of maritime pines, the same that provide amazing shade at the campground.

You will soon reach Planargia’s beach by following a shaded path, which we maintain regularly to guarantee that you have a pleasant stroll.
The beach alternates between fine sand and pebbles. This part of the shoreline is never overtaken by tourists, even in peak season. The beach is always clean and the waters are always clear. The Bari Sardo commune has been rewarded many times over the last fifteen years for the quality and cleanliness of its waters.

The seabeds decline slightly, but you will still be out of your depths relatively quickly. If you prefer a beach with shallow water, better suited for children and people who don’t know how to swim, you will not have to go far. At the campground’s reception we will identify for you beaches better suited to meet your needs and beaches that you can reach easily.
A beach slightly more to the south called Foddini is more exposed to winds and is the reference point for windsurfing and kitesurfing aficionados.

A section of the Planargia beach has become accessible to dogs, as decreed by the Bari Sardo municipality. In this part of the beach called Bau Beach, you will be able to walk with your animal companion.
